6. Winner Selection, Notification and Skill Testing Question
(a) Draws will be held as follows:
(i) Draws will take place via a live broadcast linked from the Contest Sponsor’s website, usually within 2 business days of verification of all qualified entries.
(ii) Potential winners will be determined at random using the independent randomizer at Random.org. Each qualified entry is assigned a numbered spot on the Contest board, and the winning entry is selected using Random.org’s Multi-Round Giveaway Service, conducted live on the broadcast, which produces a public record of the draw that anyone can verify. A link to the record will be posted on the Contest Sponsor’s website after the draw.
(iii) The entrant selected will be announced on the live broadcast, and that person will be notified by their alias being posted on the Contest Sponsor’s website and by e-mail.
(iv) Any person whose entry is selected must answer a mathematical skill testing question without the use of a calculator, computer or other mechanical aid, with the person having 5 minutes and 1 chance to answer the question correctly. Skill testing questions will be conducted by way of a recorded video or voice call.
(v) If the first entrant selected does not answer the question correctly as required in (iv), a second entrant will be selected at random by repeating the above process via a further Random.org draw from the remaining qualified entries, and the second entrant will be given the same skill testing question. If the second entrant selected does not answer the question correctly, a third entrant will be selected at random by repeating the above process, and the third entrant will be given the same skill testing question.
(vi) In the event that all 3 entrants are unable to answer the skill testing question correctly as required in (iv), the first entrant selected will be provided with a new mathematical skill testing question. In the event the first entrant selected is unable to answer the new question correctly, the second entrant selected will be provided with the new skill testing question. In the event the second entrant selected is unable to answer the question correctly, the third entrant selected will be provided with the new skill testing question. This process will continue until an individual whose entry was selected answers the skill testing question correctly as required in (iv). That person shall be declared the winner, and the winner’s alias will be posted on the Contest Sponsor’s website as the winner of the Contest in question.
(vii) The Contest Sponsor will make at least 3 attempts to contact the person whose entry is selected using the e-mail address provided at the time of entry. If contact cannot be made and the skill testing question cannot be carried out within 3 days of the day the entry is selected for the first skill testing question, or within 2 days of the day the entry is selected for a subsequent skill testing question, the person shall be disqualified from the Contest in question. The Contest Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, extend the time if circumstances warrant an extension.
(b) As a condition of awarding any Contest Prize, the Contest Sponsor may, at its discretion, require the winner to sign and return to the Contest Sponsor within 7 days of receipt a Statement of Compliance and Release Agreement under which, among other matters, the winner confirms their compliance and eligibility with these Official Rules and releases and indemnifies Prairie Bodega, its employees, agents, representatives and advertising and promotional agencies from all claims, damages and causes of action arising or to arise by reason of the acceptance of or the use of the prize (“Release Agreement”). A Release Agreement may not be required for all Contests. If a winner refuses or fails to return the Release Agreement within the time required, or is deemed ineligible to receive a prize for any reason, the winner may be disqualified and will be deemed to have forfeited the Contest Prize in question. The Release Agreement is in addition to the release and discharge provisions set out in Rule 9.
(c) You will be contacted only in the event your entry is selected.
